Music Review: Aaron Camper Welcome to My World-The Mixtape Volume One

“Day number two of the African-American Festival featured some GREAT Indie Artist who should have been featured on the Main Stage. One of those artist was the stage savvy Aaron Camper. Despite sound issues and having his time cut to show Baltimore-MD what he could do in three songs, his set was a better performance than those who had 45 minutes and showed nothing. So would Aaron Camper’s music stand up?

When you see the title, it makes you kind of skeptical to even listen since mixtapes are a deejays way of blending and mixing music that has not been heard (well it use to be because deejays today don’t know the meaning of a mixtape). Everyone these days are doing mixtapes trying to figure out who they are by just throwing out music that makes no sense. Not the case with Aaron Camper, although the opening track makes you want to roll your eyes because you think, “Oh no more of the same”! WRONG!

Aaron Camper delivers the most heart wrenching, thought provoking material that has been missing for a long time. Not to mention Aaron Camper KNOWS who he is and wants you the listener to know him as well. [...]“
